With the LA Auto Show ahead of me and a gigantic 20 car Fiesta "tweet-up" behind us, preparation for the LA Auto Show has begun. The first thing that crosses the screen of my computer while checking for directions to the show, the Chevy Spark. We all knew they had a Volt, but now Chevy is contemplating the 2012 Chevy Spark. It's a great idea, 1900 lbs, 40 mpg, I like it when cars keep closer to the original VW Rabbit GTI weight and power.

The problem with the concept renderings? Visually they look like distorted Fiestas. Same color. Same window arrangement. Same fenders - a crease toward the nose and a bulge in the rear. Crease between fog lights and headlights, check. Headlights, yes. Fog lights, yep. Overbite, uhuh.
Apparently, imitation is still the best form of flattery.
