A line of Ford Fiesta's delayed from delivery to the
USA.The 2011 Ford Fiesta that was promoted for the first time in the US with the Ford Fiesta Movement last year and then at X Games in 2009, has been derailed - if only momentarily. Ken Block has been such a mighty spokesperson for the car in the US as well, but you might have to wait a little longer before seeing them in showrooms.
The shipments of the subcompact car to Ford dealerships have been delayed by up to 2 weeks due to Hurricane Alex's winds and rains in late June and then a follow up storm by the name of Bonnie. The effects of the storms on Mexican railroads will ensure that the only Ford Fiesta in town with be those at X Games in late July.
Judging from a Ford spokeswoman's report, the automaker may have a plan for movement to get the Fiesta across the border - legally. Dealers have waiting lists for the cars and about 2,000 people have already reserved them.
